In summer
Your children will enjoy practising a multitude of sports: golf, tennis, martial arts, water skiing, climbing, swimming, athletics, football, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey,
badminton, table tennis, archery, as well horse back ridding which is the only sport for which we add an extra charge.
Other recreational activities are added to these numerous sports so that your children are always happily and constructively busy. These include such things as camping in tents
or sleeping in a mountain hut, bathing in the lake or in the pool, building a forest hut, hunting for treasure, baking, playing baby-foot, viewing videos, bicycling -well away
from dangers of traffic- and all sorts of other games.
Besides all this on Wednesdays and Sundays excursions of either a cultural, recreational or touristy nature are organised, for example: castles, cheese factories, farms or
zoos... Bivouacs and picnics are greatly enjoyed and help make the delights of the Alps accessible to all.

summer 2007
July
Every year, summer camps at Pre Fleuri are full of many magical moments. They offer the perfect setting in these beautiful Swiss mountains for people coming from all over the
world to meet, share different cultures, and above all have lots of fun. For children coming again, it is a chance to see old friends and make new ones.
In July, under the lovely warm sun, we did a variety of activities which ranged from visiting the "refuge" in the little wooden chalet of Gryon, banana boating, hiking in
the mountains of Solalex, the "miroir d'Argentine" or the "roc d'Orsay". They have been visiting the adventure parc in Aigle, sailing, tennis, golf, archery, rock climbing
and endless others...
The cooler weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Pré Fleuri's team of workers. Alternative activities were planned so that the children were totally unaware of
the bad weather. These activities included Ice skating, visiting aquaparc, combat games, dancing, gymnastics, bowling, horseback riding and team games at the new
sporting.
At the end of each week, the children put on a show. Many of the props and scenery were made by them and each child had a chance to participate.

At the end of July, when the sun came back and it was lovely and warm, a lot of time was spent outdoors enjoying barbecues and themed outdoor meals. The children were able to go
mountain climbing to "les Diablerets" or "le Lac Retaud".
Every week, the organizers would take a group of children to the refuge. This was the highlight for many of the children. They learnt many different things such as how to make a
fire, the difference between trees, recognise different bird sounds, how to identify plants...
The most magical moments for the children was the time spent together in the evenings around the camp fire.

On the last day the children went to Europapark in Germany. This was the greatest way to end the month with a huge party.
August
The first of August is Swiss National day. Everyone participated to the parade of the village. The theme was "Odyssée 3001".
The children were cheered and applauded by all the spectators. The celebration went on into the evening with a spectacular fireworks display. This is a day that the children
will remember for a long time.
During the lovely warm sunny days, the children had great pleasure in trips in the mountains, going up streams, barbecues in the forest and swimming under water falls.
With Thierry, our mountain guide, the children were given the opportunity to try mountaineering, walking on a glacier with ice axes and crampons, rock climbing, and staying at
the refuge.
Every Tuesday there was a trip to "les Diablerets", and the chance to climb the highest glacier of over 3000 m . What an adventure!
Our visits to "Adventure parc" gave the children the opportunity of jumping from tree to tree, swinging on giant tyroleans and shivering on the aerial platforms. What fun!
This year's summer camp was a wonderful balance of fun filled, action packed and educational experiences that left the children with many fabulous unforgettable moments and some
very special memories.
entrusting us with the care of your children is to offer them the joy and happiness they
deserve...
